These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of accenthomesltd.com (the "Site") and the booking of any short-let accommodation listed through it. By browsing the Site, creating an account, or making a booking, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Accent Homes Limited, registered in Nigeria under RC 8891067. Registered address: 3A Olayinka Adewuyi Street, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos, Nigeria.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or make a booking. You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and booking. Providing false information is grounds for cancellation without refund.

A booking is not confirmed until (a) full or deposit payment has been successfully processed via Paystack, and (b) you receive a written booking confirmation by email. Prices are in Nigerian Naira (NGN). Confirmed bookings are honoured at the price paid. We reserve the right to decline or cancel any booking prior to confirmation at our sole discretion.

All payments are processed through Paystack (PCI-DSS compliant). Accent Homes does not store your full card number, CVV, or PIN. By paying, you authorise us to charge the payment method provided for the total booking amount. International Guests are responsible for any currency conversion or cross-border fees. Chargebacks raised without first contacting us may result in account suspension and cost recovery.

Governed by the Cancellation Policy published on the Site at the time of booking, incorporated into these Terms. Refunds are processed to the original payment method via Paystack; timelines are outside our direct control.

All Guests must comply with the House Rules published on the Site. Violations may result in immediate termination of the stay without refund and additional charges for damage or excessive cleaning. Guests are responsible for all individuals they bring onto the Property.

Guests are liable for damage to the Property beyond normal wear and tear. To the maximum extent permitted by Nigerian law, our aggregate liability is limited to the total amount paid for the specific booking. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing limits liability for death or personal injury caused by proven negligence.

Guests use the Property and amenities at their own risk and must exercise reasonable care. Safety hazards or malfunctions must be reported to Accent Homes immediately.

All Site content — text, photos, logos, and design — is the property of Accent Homes or its licensors and may not be copied or used commercially without prior written consent.

The Site uses Paystack (payments), Firebase (authentication and data storage), Cloudinary (image hosting), and Resend (email). We are not responsible for outages or errors from these providers beyond what is disclosed in our Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at CEO@accenthomesltd.com if you suspect unauthorised access.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Disputes shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation; if unresolved within 60 days, they are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria. These Terms do not waive non-excludable statutory rights you may have under your country's mandatory consumer protection laws.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance. Changes do not apply retroactively to bookings already confirmed.

This Privacy Policy explains how Accent Homes collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects personal data when you visit accenthomesltd.com or make a booking. It is written to comply with the Nigeria Data Protection Act, 2023 (NDPA) and, for Guests from the EU/EEA or UK, the GDPR and UK GDPR where applicable.

• Account data: name, email address, phone number, hashed password, account creation date.
• Booking data: check-in/check-out dates, property selected, number of guests, special requests, booking history.
• Payment data: transaction reference, amount, payment status, last four digits of card where provided by Paystack. We do not store your full card number, CVV, or PIN.
• Identification data: government-issued ID or proof of address where required for check-in or fraud prevention, stored via Cloudinary.
• Communications data: support messages, booking confirmations, and transactional emails sent via Resend.
• Technical data: IP address, browser type, device information, and pages visited, collected through standard web server logs.

• Contract performance: processing necessary to confirm and fulfil your booking

• Legitimate interest: fraud prevention, Site security, and service improvement
• Consent: where required for non-essential cookies or marketing communications, which you may withdraw at any time

• Firebase (Google): authentication, database, hosting — shares account credentials and booking records
• Paystack: payment processing — shares payment/transaction data (card details handled by Paystack directly)
• Cloudinary: image and document hosting — shares property images and verification documents where applicable
• Resend: transactional email delivery — shares name, email address, and booking confirmation content

Firebase, Cloudinary, and Resend may store or process data outside Nigeria, including in the United States. We rely on the standard contractual and security safeguards provided by these processors (encryption in transit and at rest) to protect your data consistent with NDPA and GDPR requirements.

• Strictly necessary: session and authentication tokens via Firebase Authentication, required for login and booking to function.
• Payment-related: cookies set by Paystack during checkout, necessary to complete payment.
• Analytics/marketing: we do not currently use analytics or marketing cookies. If this changes, this policy will be updated and a consent mechanism will be implemented for EU/UK visitors.

• Contact details (guest without account): up to 90 days after last stay
• Guest stay/booking history: up to 3 years after last stay, then anonymized or deleted
• Special requests: 14 days after stay completion, unless required for an active complaint
• Identification documents: no longer than 90 days after stay completion, unless a legal matter requires longer retention
• Payment transaction records: shortest period necessary to reconcile payments and meet Nigerian financial recordkeeping obligations
• Financial/accounting records: 6 years in line with Nigerian tax and company recordkeeping requirements
• Marketing communications: until you withdraw consent or unsubscribe

Depending on your location, you have the right to: access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold; object to or restrict certain processing; receive a portable copy of your data; withdraw consent at any time; and lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC) or your local data protection authority.

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures including encrypted authentication (Firebase), PCI-DSS compliant payment handling (Paystack), and access controls on stored documents (Cloudinary). No system is completely secure.

The Site is not directed at individuals under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, contact us at CEO@accenthomesltd.com for deletion.
